Keys on the front seat
Classic. Quick to resolve with non-destructive entry on virtually any vehicle.
Keys on the seat, fob in the trunk, child still inside? Stay calm - we use non-destructive entry tools so your door, window, and weatherstripping stay exactly the way you left them.
Car lockouts happen to everyone eventually. The keys land on the driver's seat as the door swings shut. The fob ends up in a grocery bag in the trunk. Someone hits the lock button while the engine's still running. None of those are unusual - and none of them require breaking a window or prying a door. With the right tools, modern vehicles can be opened cleanly, even ones with shielded interior lock buttons or proximity-only entry.
Some operators still pry door frames, hammer wedges in until the seal warps, or break a window if the lockout takes longer than expected. We don't do that. We carry inflatable wedges to create a small, controlled gap, then use long-reach tools to actuate the door's interior handle or unlock button. Done properly, the door is back to factory condition the second we step away - no scratches, no bent frame, no compromised weatherstripping.
Coat hangers and shoelaces work in YouTube videos and rarely in real life. On most modern vehicles, you'll spend an hour scratching paint and bending the door frame trying to bypass an electronic lock. The faster, cheaper path is usually to call. While you're waiting, stay near the vehicle if it's safe to do so - we'll need to verify ownership when we arrive.
This is a different category. If a child or pet is inside the vehicle and conditions are dangerous (especially in summer heat along the I-95 corridor), call 911 first, then call us. Police and fire often respond faster and have authority to take immediate action. We can absolutely follow up to open the vehicle cleanly, but child or pet safety comes first.
The bulk of our lockout work happens in everyday spots: grocery store parking lots, restaurant lots along Towne Park Dr, gas stations off Highway 21, shopping centers in Pooler, neighborhood driveways in Rincon and Springfield, and apartment complexes throughout Effingham County. We come to you. You don't need to push the car anywhere or arrange a tow.
When you call, give us the make, model, and approximate year of the vehicle, plus your location. The tech will arrive with the right tools, verify ownership (we'll check your ID against the registration), open the door without damage, and make sure everything still locks and unlocks properly before we leave. Service requirements vary depending on the vehicle and situation.
That's a different service - see our car key replacement page. The good news is we can usually handle both in one visit. If the keys can't be found and the car needs to be moved, we can cut and program a replacement on-site for most vehicles.
If your situation looks like one of these, you're in the right place.

Newer vehicles often won't open the trunk if the fob is inside - we can still get you in.
Engine running, doors locked. Call 911 first if anyone is inside; we'll be on the way.
We'll come to wherever you're parked, day or evening, within service hours.
If you don't see your situation here, give us a ring - we'd rather walk you through it than have you guess.
No. We use non-destructive entry tools designed for modern vehicles. When done properly, your door and weatherstripping stay exactly as they were before the lockout.
It depends where in the area you are and how busy we are at that moment. We'll give you a realistic time when you call. We're open daily 7 AM – 10 PM.
Yes - we verify ownership before opening the vehicle. Usually that means matching your ID to the vehicle registration. It's standard practice for any responsible locksmith.
We can usually cut and program a replacement on-site for most vehicles. Just let us know when you call so we bring the right equipment.
Call 911 first. Emergency services can respond quickly and have the authority to take immediate action. Once everyone's safe, we can come open the vehicle cleanly.
